Despite being further north than the tip of Maine, snow in Seattle is an unusual event that thrills and scares us.
It’s a city of hills and it doesn’t take much to close the city down. Saturday’s snow was typical in that it was mainly gone by morning, making the afternoon and a walk in the neighborhood especially sweet.

This blog started, as many do, to keep the friends up to date while I was traveling. In my case, a long bike ride across Europe and move from Seattle to Boston in 2004.
