Not just the neck, but the outside tops of the pockets become soiled, too, after I reach for something a few times. However, I find hand washing, sometimes vigorously, with almost any soap, works for me. I am working much, much harder this year to get to "riding weight"..and boy howdy when I do, I am prying money from my husband for another couple new jerseys.
